DARTMOUTH, N.S. – Registration for the Construction Association of Nova Scotia (CANS) is now open.
The event, scheduled for Oct. 29 at Best Western Plus – Dartmouth, will bring together industry professionals to connect, inspire and support women in the construction sector.
The forum prioritizes the experiences and perspectives of women while welcoming attendees of all genders, indicates a release, adding it highlights the growing importance of creating a strong network and community among women in the construction industry.
With speakers, a panel discussion and facilitator-led networking exercises, the forum will feature activities designed to foster discussion and forge relationships. The forum also marks a pivotal moment in CANS’ ongoing efforts to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility within the construction industry.
“Employers want to see our industry drive positive change,” said Duncan Williams, president and CEO of CANS, in a statement. “More women are forging careers in the construction industry than ever before. As construction evolves, CANS is pleased to take a leadership role in celebrating and investing in the diversity of our workforce. Construction is at a point of no return, employers who don’t welcome our increasing diversity will be left behind.”
